As a painting medium, acrylic colour has been increasingly appreciated for its particular merits: quick drying, use and clean up with water, versatility of technique and ease of use. Acrylics can be used straight from the tube to create impasto effects and build volume like oil colour, or be diluted with water to use for watercolour or postercolour techniques. Acrylics are suitable for use on all non-greasy surfaces uncluding canvas, paper, wood, leather, brick work etc.
