Artisan brushes have been specifically designed to have the performance characteristics of hog bristle yet maintain their spring and shape when in contact with water, particularly during prolonged painting sessions with water mixable oil colours.
Natural hog bristle is less suitable for water mixable oil colour because when soaked in water, the bristle loses shape and the spring becomes weak, control of the paint then becomes difficult. Artisan brushes were developed with a unique blend of high quality polyester fibres, offering exceleent spring, durability and strength, whilst maintaining a good shape.
Use with Oil, Acrylic or Alkyd Oil Colours.
